Dissertation title:
Infrastructural and Pedagogical Readiness of Institutions to the uptake of Tablet Technology
Research interests:

In 2011 Recent Turkish government has initiated a project called “Movement of Enhancing Opportunities and Improving Technology”, abbreviated as FATIH, which is among the most significant educational investments of Turkey. Within 3 years all students (more than 15 million) and teachers will have a tablet PC, which is a big step for Turkish Educations system.

I carried out field work of my master`s thesis in Turkey. I focused on “The impact of Tablet PCs on the Attitudes of Teachers towards Technology”. I had the opportunity to observe FATIH project in a classroom setting and I believe that there are many drawbacks and potentials of using tablet technology for students, teachers and institutions. So my interest now is to explore infrastructural and pedagogical readiness of institutions to the uptake of tablet technology in Turkey.
